Early Eugene Gregory, age 77, of Ivanhoe, VA passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026. He was born November 5, 1948 in Wythe County, son of the late Franklin Brooks Gregory, Sr. and Ella Shinault Gregory. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Coleman Gregory; a sister, Mary Frances Beamon; three brothers, Franklin Brooks Gregory, Jr., Richard “Ricky” Gregory and Barry Gregory.

Survivors include two sons, Jason “Skillet” and Selinda Gregory of Max Meadows, VA and Shane Chandler of Lynn Haven, FL; three grandchildren, Jessica Mitchell, Aimee Gregory and Shayne Chandler; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Patricia “Pat” Sapp of Winston Salem, NC, Trenda and Ray Williams of Clemmons, NC, Tammie and Stephen Blodgett of Mocksville, NC.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Home or at the residence of his son, Jason and Selinda Gregory, at any time.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 20th at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Don Crockett officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is serving the Gregory family.
