Earn Harold "Lum" Dalton, age 84, of Barren Springs, VA passed away on November 17, 2025 at Lewis Gale Hospital, Blacksburg, VA. Mr. Dalton was born in Wythe County VA to the late Herman and Bessie (Pickett) Dalton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Harold Edward "Edd" Dalton; siblings, Dave Barnes, Glenn Horton, Walter "Hobo" Dalton, Kermit "Pete" Dalton, Herman (Mollie) Dalton, Daisy Kirk, Oakey Freeman and Sue Snow.

Survivors include his forever love, Linda (Jennings) Dalton, daughter Teresa Shockley (Mike) and son Shawn Dalton. Grandchildren include Corey Shockley, Alex Shockley (Allie), Savannah Shockley, Roxzanna Montague (David), Cole Dalton, Ana Dalton, Parker Dalton, Layla Dalton and Andy Dalton. Great grandchildren include Asher Shockley, Georgia Montague, Jack Montague, Mila Hernandez and Lainey Hernandez.  He had many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverview Church of God with the Reverend Eddie Dalton and Reverend Dale Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawson Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Riverview Church of God.
