Edith Carole Hughes, age 72, of Deland, FL, formerly of Wytheville, VA passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017. She was born March 19, 1944 to the late Clarence J. and Theresa Messenger Hughes.  She was a member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, George and Lisa Doyle of Sanford, FL, Robbie and Betty Doyle of Deland, FL; two grandchildren, Nicholas Doyle and Brittney Doyle; three sisters, Sandy Hill of Max Meadows, VA, Donna and Mike Crigger of Wytheville, VA, Shirley Hughes of Deland, FL; niece,Theresa Crigger; two nephews, Butch Mabry and Richard Traver. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 at Roselawn Cemetery in Johnson City, TN with the Reverend Ann Blair officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home.
