Edward Lavert Bowen, age 78, of Chattanooga, TN, formerly of Wytheville, VA passed away Monday, April 11, 2022. He was born March 23, 1944 in Norfolk, VA, the son of the late Adrien and Nedra Looney Bowen. He was retired as a Civil Engineer with the city of Chattanooga, TN. Edward attended George Wythe High School, University of Tennessee and Virginia Tech. He was a member of the Chattanooga Photographic Society and Chattanooga Aquarium. Edward was a veteran of the United States Army.

Edward is survived by several family members.

Graveside services were held Friday, April 15, 2022 at West End Cemetery with Pastor Tom Maurer officiating. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the Bowen family.
