Eleanor Davis Atwell , 87, of Bland VA, passed away Monday, February 05, 2024. Born November 11, 1936 in Bland VA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas McGinnis Davis and Virginia Tickle Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Stewart Atwell, infant son Adrian Stewart Atwell, daughter Deborah Atwell Brown.

She was a proud member of the Walkers Creek Baptist Church

Survivors include her son John Michael Atwell and wife Beverley, daughter Angela Atwell and Roy Lee Nuckolls of Marion VA, grandchildren Shelley Shelton, Adrianne Richards, Damian Cox, Megan Atwell and Michaela Atwell, great grandchildren Juni Wood and Kaiden Cox.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 9, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Bland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Leslie officiating. Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery. Gene Dalton, Jim Waddle, Kenny May, Robert Davis, Larry Newberry and Roy Nuckolls will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call Friday, February 9, 2024 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Bland Funeral Chapel. Bland Funeral Chapel is serving the Atwell family.
