Elizabeth Alto Akers Arnold, age 86, of Wytheville, VA passed away Monday, May 01,2017.
She was born December 20, 1930 in Wythe County, the daughter of the late Buel W. Akers and Margie Dunford Akers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Arnold; daughter Ruby Arlee and brother, William "Bill" Akers. Elizabeth attended Rosenbaum Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by her daughter, Ann and Gene Parks of Elk Creek, VA; grandchildren, Lisa and David Moore, Douglas and Patty Thomas, William and Betty Thomas; great grandchild, Renae Thomas; step-grandchildren, Kenneth Parks and Lisa Compton; step-great grandchild, Chris Moore; two brothers, Randolph and Marie Akers, Harold Akers; five sisters, Mary Webb, Evelyn Sutphin, Stella and Danny Cox, Opal Parks, Debbie and Darrell Arnold all of Wytheville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Rosenbaum Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Don Scott and Reverend Brandon Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

For food and drink normally brought to the home, the family asks that it be brought to the church for a meal following services.
