Ella Mae Ratcliffe Cales Ayers, age 81 of Draper, VA passed away Friday, December 29, 2017.  She was born in Radford, VA on November 26, 1936 the daughter of the late Charles Ratcliffe and Jesse Newby Ratcliffe.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar "Sonny" Ayers of Draper; one son and partner, James Cales, Jr. and Jackie Haley of Christiansburg, VA; daughters, Patricia Martin and husband Billy of Radford, VA, Donna Cales of Fairlawn, VA, Linda Cales of Conover, NC; step-son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Pat Ayers of Wytheville;  step-daughter, Cathy Booth of Pulaski; special friend, Ellen Beasley; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with Rev. Barry Ayers officiating.  Interment will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, VA.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M until service time at the funeral home.
