Obituary

Elmer Floyd "Pat" King, age 93 of Wytheville, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017.  He was born on October 30, 1923 to the late Henry Cameron and Lula Florence Corvin King.  Pat served in the United States Army during WWII, and attended the Life Changers Christian Center.  He was preceded in death by a brother Charles King and a sister Esther "Sis" King. Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Nancy King of Wytheville; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Duran and Anita Younger King of Wytheville; grandson and spouse, Dr. Chase Duran and Caitlin Kilgore King.

Funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Barnett Funeral Home with Reverend Todd Porter and Reverend N.R. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat where the American Legion Post #9 will conduct Military Honors.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Barnett Funeral Home. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the King family.
