Elmo Clinton Archer, age 90, of Max Meadows, Va. passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025. He was born in Wythe County Va. on May 31, 1935 to the late Garland C. Archer Sr. and Emma Reynolds Archer. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Garland Cecil Archer Jr., Melvin Graham Archer, Richard Archer and sister Virginia Archer Mabe.

He is survived by his faithful and loving wife of 67 years Jo Lynn Lephew Archer of the home; daughter Melinda Archer Stuart and husband David who was more like a son than son-in-law of Max Meadows, Va.; grandchild Emily Batchelor; 2 step-grandchildren Eddie Stuart, Michelle Cole; step great-grandchildren Paisley and Pratt Parker; special friends Donnie Stuart and David Scott; Several nieces and nephews and many extended family and close friends also survive. Also a special cousin Ray Archer.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
