Eugene Edgar Saferight, age 77, of Wytheville, VA passed away Monday, October 16, 2023. He was born April 20, 1946 in Wythe County, the son of the late Ulysses Garland Saferight and Elsie Lura Riggins Saferight. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sara Crockett and Lura May Crockett-Byrd and a brother, Junior Saferight.

Survivors include his brother, Ronnie and Judy Saferight; brother-in-law, Willie Byrd; sister-in-law, Patsy Saferight; several beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
