Eva Jean Cox Martin, age 83, of Wytheville passed away Saturday September 2, 2017.  She was born May 6, 1934 in Pulaski County to the late Grover David and Eva Maria Graham Cox.  She is preceded in death by her husband George Dearold Martin.  She was an employee at Builders Supermarket. Jean was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include two daughters, Becky Martin; Cindy Martin and companion Charlie Rakes all of Wytheville; two brothers Jack Cox of Palm Bay, FL; Jerry Cox of Wytheville; sister, Emma Martin of Wytheville; two grandchildren, Abby Rose Timmins and fiancé Dallas Shumate and William "Billy" Timmins; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Barnett Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery in Wytheville.  The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
