Evelyn Christine White Viars, age 86, of Fort Chiswell, VA made her journey home on Thursday, February 15, 2018 where she joined her husband of 63 years, Howard William Viars. She was born July 29, 1931 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Vivian E. "Bid" White and Mae Sutphin White. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward White and sister, Rosa Lee Reynolds. She was an active member of St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church where she loved her church family. Christine is survived by her daughter, Diane and Henry "Junior" Ayers, Jr. of Fort Chiswell, VA; Two sons, Michael D. and Pam Viars of Fort Chiswell, VA, Ken and Jo Viars of Sevierville, TN; Seven grandchildren, Tammy Smith, Derek Ayers, Lisa Trivett, Todd Viars, Carri Heikes, Josh Hullette and Jimmy Keith; Three great-grandchildren, Tyler Heikes, Logan Smith and Dylan Trivett; Two brothers, Donald White of Cleveland, OH and Michael White of Fort Chiswell, VA.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend David Wood and Reverend J.C. McPeak officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 at St. Paul PHC Cemetery.
