Frances Woods Crockett, age 93, of New York, NY, formerly of Wytheville, VA passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. She was born June 26, 1924 in Roxboro, NC, daughter of the late Reverend Hudie and Louisana Williams Woods. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Crockett; brothers, Ellery Woods, Eslie Woods, George Woods and Robert Woods.  She is survived by three nieces, Louise Woods Moss of Wytheville, VA, Wilma Woods Dabney of Wytheville, VA, Vanessa Woods Headley and Ronald Headley of Newburgh, NY; great nieces and nephews, Michelle Anderson, Kim Addison, Jennifer Wells, Anthony Dabney, Rodney Moss, Sr., Michael Woods, Damian Woods and Alonzo Good; host of great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Bethel AME Church with the Reverend Shelley Kyle officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
