Frances Geneva Noel Houchins, age 89, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025. She was born June 15, 1935 in Raven, VA, daughter of the late George Noel and Millie Justice Bostic. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Houchins; son, Sammy Houchins; a sister, Shirley Harrison and two brothers, Dewey Noel and Danny Noel.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Timmy and Elma Houchins, Eric and Jackie Houchins; two daughters and son-in-law, Tina and Clayton Ayers, Anita Jones and daughter-in-law, Carol Houchins, all of Max Meadows; ten grandchildren, Ginger, Mark, Ashley, Michael, Eli, Amanda, Caiden, Morgan, Colton and Gabe; nine great-grandchildren, Harper, Reece, Liam, Reed, Forest, Nash, Ava, Emerson and Owen. Several nieces, nephews, and many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Stacey Cope officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until service time. Private burial will be held in West End Cemetery.
