Frances Kitts Hudson, age 96, of Wytheville, VA passed away Friday, November 14, 2025. She was born January 22, 1929 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Stuart B. Kitts and Lillie Mae Callahan Kitts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Clayton Hudson and her daughter, Debra H. Akers. Frances was a retired school teacher and a member of Max Meadows Community Church.

Survivors include her son-in-law, Dennis Akers and several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Rick Lindamood officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service time. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery.
