Frances V. Russ, 95, of Draper VA, passed away, Monday, October 23, 2023, at her residence.

Born November 18, 1927, in McDowell County WV; she was the daughter of the late Charles W Dodson and Maude Mae Semones.

She was an avid reader and she loved animals. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Russ Jr; brother, Ted Dodson and daughter, Carolyn Johnson.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Jay Johnson (Amanda) of Draper VA, Rhonda Kitts (Brandon) of Barren Springs VA, Arlie Kincer of Galax VA, four great grandchildren Emily and Jaycob Johnson, Slade and Isabella Kincer, special sister-in-law Phyllis Martin, son in law Ron Johnson.

Per Frances' wishes, there will be no services.
