Frances Louise Porter Shipwash, age 84, of Wytheville, VA passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She was born January 30, 1940 in Wythe County, daughter of the late William and Nina Arnold Porter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Crockett Shipwash; a son, Kenny Armbrister; several sisters and a brother.

Survivors include her daughter, Lee Coleman of Hillsville, VA; three sons, Michael Armbrister of Pulaski, Ray and Donna Coleman of Hillsville, John and Jamie Shipwash of Rural Retreat, VA; two sisters, Linda Viar and Diane Porter, both of Ivanhoe, VA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024 at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is serving the Shipwash family.
