Frank Clyde Copenhaver, age 88 of Crockett, VA, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022.  He was born in Wythe County on June 8, 1934, the son of the late Frank M. Copenhaver and May Pannell Copenhaver. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Litz and brother Wayne Copenhaver, and 6 half-siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Jones Copenhaver of the home; son David Copenhaver and wife Rachel of Pittsburgh, PA. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Paige Copenhaver, Reese Copenhaver, and Edward Copenhaver. A niece and several nephews also survive.
Clyde was a graduate of Rural Retreat High School class of 1951. He was a lifetime Wythe County farmer.  He spent many long days working on the family farm and in the garden. He was a member of King's Grove United Methodist Church and served as treasurer along with Jean for 65 years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Lindsey Memorial Chapel in Rural Retreat with Reverend Richard Gregory officiating.  Interment will follow in the King's Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour before service time.
