Frieda Hedrick Greiner, 93, of Rural Retreat died peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2022, in Rural Retreat Care Center.  She was born in Rural Retreat on May 18, 1929, the daughter of the late Sidney Washington Hedrick and Anah Courtney Hedrick. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her husband of 62 and a half years, Alfred B. Greiner, Jr., siblings Walter Hedrick, Mabel Crigger, and Calvin Hedrick.

Frieda was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was retired from the Wythe County Health Department.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Ralph Littreal, Jr., of San Jose, Calif.; a host of nieces and nephews; special nephew and wife who were her caregivers, Roger and Audrey Hedrick.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Mountain View Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Hamman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rural Retreat Rescue Squad or the Rural Retreat Fire Department.
