Gary Franklin Anderson, age 59, of Rural Retreat, VA. passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022.  He was born in Radford, VA on May 18, 1963, to Robert Anderson and the late Myrtle Elizabeth Shupe Anderson. He was also preceded in death by grandmother Minnie Shupe.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed having a good time.

He is survived by his father Robert Anderson of Rural Retreat, VA; brother Michael Anderson of Austinville, VA.; sister Candy Sue Rose and husband Billy of Wytheville, VA.; special cousin Cathy Shupe of Rural Retreat, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 2, 2022, at the Blue Springs United Methodist Church.   Burial will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
