Gary Wayne Payne, age 49, of Draper, VA passed away Friday, December 30, 2016.  He was born May 1, 1967 and was preceded in death by his father, John Mitchell "Bucky" Payne.

He is survived by his mother, Louise D. Payne; a son, Nathan Payne of Marion, VA; two brothers, Mitch Payne of Tampa, FL, Stacy and Trina Payne of Draper, VA; sister, Sherry and Clinton Smythers of Hillsville, VA; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; friend, Edward King.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Draper Memorial Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Reese Funeral Home.
