Gary Randall Russell, 72, of Wytheville VA, passed away, Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Born June 23, 1951, in Baltimore MD, he was the son of the late Ellis Eugene Russell and Mary Mabel Martin Russell.

He was a Veteran of the US Navy and worked at Gatorade after retiring from the Navy. He loved his church Family and enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He enjoyed sports and doing things for his family. Gary loved music, singing, and helping others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, brother Wade Russell, sister Vicki Russell Hash.

Survivors include his loving wife Judy Russell of the home, one son Jeremy Russell and wife Amy of Warrenton MO, one daughter, Jessica Whitlow and husband Dustin of Smithfield VA, six grandchildren, Aiden Russell, Ethan Whitlow, Brady Russell, Perry Russell, Liam Russell, Garrison Russell, one brother, Eugene Russell of Marion VA, several Nieces and Nephews

Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Legacy Church in Wytheville VA, with Pastor Brett McCleary officiating.

Friends may call Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. at Legacy Church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Legacy Church or Paralyzed Veterans of America.
