Geneva Mae Nuckolls Fortune, age 71, of Wytheville, VA passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was born August 24, 1945 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Roscoe Everett Nuckolls and Viola Dunford Nuckolls.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Franklin Fortune. Geneva is survived by two sons, Carl and Tammy Nuckolls, David and Priscilla Fortune; special family member, Kelli Fortune; Grandchildren, Sonya Fortune, Jordan Prater, Chris Nuckolls, Keith Nuckolls and Dusty Nuckolls; step grandchildren, Isaiaha Dalton, Kody Dalton, Zina Atley and Matt Atley; sisters, Margaret and Jack Porter, Jody and Kelly Neugent, Rose and Zell Arnold, Freda and Arrie Hall, Ailene and Rodney Foglesong, Pegg Wright; special friend, David Coleman. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Hal Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service time.
