George Luther Cranfill, age 91, of Max Meadows, VA passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 13, 2025.  He was born July 27, 1933 to the late Stancil Glen "Dan" and Sally Rae (Baker) Cranfill. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda (Cranfill) Wills and 6 brothers, Thomas Cranfill, Cecil Cranfill, Paul Cranfill, John Cranfill, Robert Cranfill and Charles Cranfill.

George was a United States Navy Veteran, having served on the USS Endicott during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Juanita (Coulter) Cranfill; two sisters, Polly Hagey and Wanda Rose. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Memorial Baptist Church, 995 Peppers Ferry Road, Pulaski, VA 24301 with Pastor Michael Jones officiating.
