G.B. (George Buford) Johnson, age 58, of Austinville, VA passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. G.B. was born on July 27, 1967 to the late Paul Hudson Johnson and Peggy Jane Bralley Johnson.

G.B. is survived by his faithful companion Snickers; God-Children, Aiden, Jackson, Grant and Claire; and several cousins. G.B. is also survived by many friends that loved and cherished him dearly.

G.B. was an accomplished musician, playing in multiple bands over the years and was an avid KISS fan, attending over 100 KISS concerts during his lifetime.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2026 at the Barnett Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, G.B. would want donations to be made to Mending Kids at www.mendingkids.org or to a charity of one's choice.
