Geraldine Poole Coleman, age 90, of Max Meadows, VA (the Piney Community) passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017. She was born September 30, 1926 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Garland and Annie Aker Poole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brooks Coleman; daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Jim White; two sisters, Maxine Littreal and Peggy Johnson.  Geraldine was a school teacher for over 18 years and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Jeri and Dicky Morgan, Jill and Ronnie Arnold, Toni Abner, all of Piney; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Patty and Dick Grove of Wytheville.  Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with the Reverend Joe Carrico officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
