Rev. Hampton Talmadge Atkinson, age 89 of Dublin, VA went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, January 12, 2018.  He was born in Shawsville, VA on August 29, 1928 the son of the late Dock Atkinson and Clara Jewell Atkinson.  He was a retired Pastor with the Pentecostal Holiness Church from 1951 – 2007.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christal Noel Atkinson; siblings, Bonnie Henson, Clarence Atkinson, Merle Bean and Marian Janney.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Manuel Atkinson; daughters, Pam and Dale Sayers of Max Meadows, VA, Myra and Bobby Floyd of Fairview, Ky, Teresa and Tim Aker, Rebecca and Scott Freeman all of Max Meadows, VA; brothers, Russell Atkinson, Scott Atkinson both of Salem, VA; grandchildren, Jason, Blake, Matthew, Kelli, Paula; great-grandchildren, Abriella, Gabriel, Landry, Raegan; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Mike Ingo, Bishop Preston Mathena and  Pastor Steve Willis officiating with a graveside committal service to follow 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the Appalachian Pentecostal Holiness Conference Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.
