Hazel Lorraine Sheets Gordon, 84, of Rural Retreat, Va. passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022. She was born in Rhodell, WV on September 11, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Sheets and Sally Lorraine Monk Sheets. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Gordon; daughter Tammy Blanchett; two sons, Larry Dean Gordon and William Edward Gordon Jr.; grandson Derek Rakes; and siblings, Eddie Sheets, Jack Sheets, Maxine Stowers, Annabelle Hall.

She worked at the State Hospital as a nursing assistant for several years. She helped her husband with running a saw mill. She was a homemaker. She loved watching birds, spending time and visiting with friends and she loved to be with her children and grandchildren.

Special Friend: Robyn Howards, Joey Deel, Austin Deel

Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
