Helen Armbrister, 73, of Max Meadows, passed away, Saturday, March 30, 2024. Born January 11, 1951, in Wythe County VA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Euna Littreal Dunford

She was a hard worker, and she loved to spend time with her family. She worked at V and M Recycling for 10 years where she met a lot of good friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters Kathy Dunford, Annie Graybeal, two brothers, Garland Dunford, Denny Dunford.

Survivors include, her husband Jerry Armbrister of the home, son Gerald Armbrister and wife Janet of Max Meadows, two grandchildren, Hunter and Eli Armbrister, sister Mary Armbrister and husband Wayne of Max Meadows, one brother Gene Dunford and wife Linda of Ivanhoe, brother-in-law John Graybeal of Max Meadows, special nephew Chad Dunford. Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville.

Funeral Services will be conducted, Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 12 noon at the Barnett Funeral Home; with Pastor Mike Ingo officiating; burial will follow in the Armbrister Family Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
