Helen Juanita Bourne, age 94, of Gunton Park passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025. Born January 24, 1931 in Gunton Park VA, she was the daughter of the late James Eugene and Zeola Mae Hopkins Harrell.

She was a loving mother and wife. She loved going to church and the hairdresser every week. She enjoyed cooking for her family, mowing her yard and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Bourne Jr; one son, Gerald Wayne Bourne; seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her niece and caregiver, Jean Arnold; many nieces and nephews; several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville with Pastor Tony Hodge officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat VA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 am to 12 noon at the Barnett Funeral Home.
