Rev. Henry Howard Ayers, Jr. age 74 of Max Meadows, VA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 8, 2024. He was born on April 1, 1950 in Galax, VA the son of the late Henry Howard Ayers, Sr. and Winnie Martin Ayers.  Mr. Ayers was a member of the Fort Chiswell Church of God and was preceded in death by a grandson, Logan Smith also several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Diane V. Ayers; his children, Tammy Smith (Jamie), Derek Ayers (Megan), Lisa Trivett (Markie); a grandson, Dylan Trivett; special brothers-in-law, Mike Viars (Pam), and Ken Viars(Jo).

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Fort Chiswell Church of God with Paster Kenneth Quesenberry officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
