Hensel Viars Jr, 65, of Ivanhoe VA, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025.

Born August 19, 1960, in Wythe County VA, he was the son of Linda Porter Viars and the late Hensel Viars Sr.

He enjoyed fishing and dirt track racing. He loved the outdoors.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one niece Donna Jo.

Survivors include mother, Linda Porter Viars, children, Keith Viars, Elisha Viars, Brandon Viars and wife Leigh Ann, Landon Viars and wife Janisa, Blake Dunford and wife Savana. Six sisters, Pam and husband Tim Bond, Beth and husband Greg Burcham, Lori and husband Kenny Dunford, Stacie and husband Justin Arnold, Tina Viars, and Jessie Viars, one brother Tony Viars and wife Crystal, five grandchildren, Riley, Cameron, Ellie, Marley, Kaden. Several Nieces and Nephews and many special friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Reese Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Edwards officiating; burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Reese Funeral Home.
