Holman Hunt McNeely, age 87, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born August 14, 1936 in Wythe County, the son of the late James and India Martin McNeely. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Christine "Chris" McNeely; three brothers, William "Bill" McNeely, Daniel "Dan" McNeely and Wayne McNeely and several nephews.

Holman was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 606 and retired with over 30 years with the union.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Debbi McNeely of Max Meadows; special friend, Frances Akers; a sister, Julia Frazier of Barren Springs; a grandson, Clay McNeely and wife Danielle of Brooksville, FL; four great-grandchildren, Gideon, Silas, Winston and Benelli. Several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend David Bays officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery in Carroll County.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
