Horst G. Walta, age 87 of Max Meadows, VA passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022. He was born and raised in Berlin, Germany on August 20, 1934 to Gustav and Frieda Walta. He immigrated to Wisconsin with his wife and young son to start a new life in the United States.

In addition to his parents, Horst was preceded in death by his brother, Joachim Walta, his sister, Christa Schuetz and granddaughter, Casey Walta.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Ursula Schulze Walta; son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Rochelle Walta of Walkersville, MD; daughter and son-in-law, Isabel and Gary Kirby of Max Meadows and daughter, Michelle Schreider of Max Meadows; grandchildren, Jackie Wade, Randi Hackler, Alex Schreider and Hanna Barker; 5 great-grandchildren.

There will be no services.
