Ima Thelma Surratt Martin, age 88, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born February 14, 1938 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Harvey Glenn Surratt and Alma Elizabeth Surratt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Clay Martin; her brother, Eugene Surratt and his wife, Minnie Helen Surratt; a step-son, Thomas Clay Rose.

Survivors include her son, Michael Clay Martin of Hillsville, VA; granddaughters, Caroline Rose, Janna Rose and Misty Rose; great-granddaughter, Charlotte. She is also survived by her special daughter, Jeannie Webb.

Ima was retired from the Hanes Brands Corp. in Martinsville as a Quality Control Auditor for 30 years. Ima attended Jackson Memorial High School and Castlewood School.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2026 at West End Cemetery.
