Irvin Stanley Etter, age 80, of Wytheville, Virginia, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017.  He was born January 10, 1937 in Greasy Creek, VA, the son of the late James and Mary Luttie Irvin Etter.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Rachel Etter Wright.  Irvin is survived by his wife Imogene Etter of the home;  his son, Rickey Stanley Etter of Wytheville;  his daughter, Pamela and Jeff Marsh of Cripple Creek, VA; three brothers, James Alfred and Helen Etter of Wytheville, David Logan Etter of Roanoke, VA, and Jerry Lee Etter of Greasy Creek, VA;  two grandchildren, Shannon Crystal March and Michaela Dawn Etter;  several greatly loved nieces and nephews also survive.  Irvin attended the St. John's Episcopal Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and riding motorcycles.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the West End Cemetery in Wytheville.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.highlandfuneralservice.com .
