James Michael Goodwin (Goody), age 66 of Wytheville, Virginia, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. Mike was born in Suffolk, Virginia, on October 19, 1956 to, and later preceded in death by, his parents James R. Goodwin and Mable Ford Puckett. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Naomi Goodwin, Milton and Mary Ford; half-sibling Evan Six; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mike is survived by his Indiana family: Step-mother, Connie L. Goodwin; half-siblings, Roxanne Mercer and husband Jeff, Daryl Goodwin and wife Kathie, and Terry Goodwin. There are also several Indiana nieces, nephews, and a great-nephew surviving. His Virginia family includes: half-sibling, Johnathan Goodwin and wife Shirley (Bunty) and nephew Anthony, his Aunt Joyce Kirk, sister to his mother Mable. Mike's ex-wife, Virginia Crockett, also survives.

There will be no viewing or services, no flowers are needed, but his friends and family are all welcome to attend his graveside committal rites offered by Pastor Steve Alderman on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM at West End Cemetery in Wytheville, Virginia.
