James Reed "Jim" Hilton, age 84 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023.

He was born September 10, 1938 in Wythe County (Cedar Springs) Va, to the late Glen Reed Hilton and Wilma Hall Hilton.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Carlene Grey Hilton, and brother Richard Reed "Dickie Boy" Hilton.

He was a retired supervisor with the US Department of Agriculture, Owner and Operator of Cedar Springs Trout Farm, and Co-Owner of the Cedar Springs Sportsman's Lodge.

He is survived by his children Jay Hilton of Rural Retreat, Kristi Hilton Jackson of Wytheville; granddaughter Mackenzie Jackson; special companion and friend Ann Poff of Rural Retreat; and loving partners in mischief "Sadie" and "Jack".

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Lindsey Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 28, 2023. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Asbury Cemetery with Reverend Jonathan Hamman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the Shriners Children's Hospital 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607 US.
