Obituary

James Clinton King, age 79, of Ivanhoe, passed away January 5, 2018.  He was born in Ivanhoe on May 3, 1938 to the late William Robert and Mary McRoberts King.  He was a Member of The Odd Fellows Lodge in Ivanhoe and retired from the American Screw Company with 38 years of service.  He was preceded in death by his wife Shelby Jean King; a sister Juanita Burnett and a brother George Edward King.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James Jr. "Happy" and Kelli King of Draper; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger King of Hillsville; William and Janet King of Wytheville; Paul "Pete" and Malinda "Tiny" King of Ivanhoe; Douglas King of Max Meadows; two sister and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Robert Burnett of Ivanhoe; Rowena and Freddie Lephew of Austinville; three grandchildren, Katrina A King, Kallista A. King and Jason P. Stump; one great grandchild, Aubre Stump and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held 6 P.M. Tuesday,  January  9, 2018 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Hal Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.  In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
