James Howard Miller Jr, 82, of Bland VA, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024. Born February 25, 1941 in Wytheville VA . He was the son of the late James Howard Miller Sr and Zephana Cassell Miller.

He loved to hunt and fish. He loved spending time with his grandbabies and great grandbabies. He loved his church at the Church of Christ in Wytheville he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a jokester, he loved making others laugh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Wanda Fields Miller, brother George Andrew Miller.

Survivors include one daughter Delisa Dillow and husband Paul of Bland VA, one son James H Miller III (Bodie) and wife Lori of Draper VA, brother, Mike Miller and wife Thelma of Crockett VA, one sister Becky Dix and husband Gary, of Rural Retreat VA, sister in law Sandra Miller of Blacksburg VA, four grandchildren Kirsten McCown, Kayla Dillow, Keith Miller, Tristen Dillow, two great grandchildren, Addison McCown, and Avery McCown, and his beloved dog Roscoe.

Funeral Services will be conducted, Monday, February 19, 2024 at 2pm at Bland Funeral Chapel with Pastors, Steve Yates, and Steve Canup officiating; Burial will follow at Morning Star cemetery.
