James Roy Pauley, age 70, of Galax, VA passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022. He was born February 14, 1952 in Wythe County, son of the late James Addison Pauley and Myrtle Davis Austin. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his sister, Jane Cleo "Mildred" Pauley; nieces, Norma "Jeannie" Dunford, Lisa Long, Rose Marie and Woody Milgrim; nephews, Doug and Aimee Pauley, Mike Pauley, Billy "Jake" and Lynn Davis, Michael "Tody" and Joann Davis, Vic and Gail Akers, Curtis "Wookie" and Shelia Akers and James "Pieny" Pauley. Several additional nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Billy Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday one hour before service time. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is serving the Pauley family.
