James Scott Pearman, 50, of Hillsville VA, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024. Born December 6, 1974 in Wythe County VA, he was the son of the late Stephen and Glenda King Pearman.

He was a loving father who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at the river. He loved his dog, Bo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant brother and sister.

Survivors include four children, Joshua Akers and wife Kayla of Max Meadows VA, James William Pearman and wife Amy of North Carolina, Stephen Pearman and fiancé Hailey McFarlane of Rural Retreat VA, Olivia Stamper of Ivanhoe VA; grandchildren, Liam (Tough), Atlas, Iris, Chase, Jaxon, and Ava; sister, Angela Pearman of Wytheville VA; brother, Michael Pearman and wife, Victoria of Max Meadows VA; special friend, Carolyn (Lyn) Jackson; several nieces and nephews, and special cousin Mickey Fisher.

A Celebration of life will be conducted Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Fort Chiswell Church of God.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Highland Funeral Service/ Reese Funeral Home to cover the cost of services. Reese Funeral Home is serving the Pearman family.
