Janice Sheffey Pearman Walk, age 87, of Pulaski, VA passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025. She was born November 15, 1937 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Olen C. Sheffey and Beulah Aker Sheffey. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Carlton Pearman, Sr, her second husband, James C. Walk and a brother, Duane Sheffey.

Survivors include eight daughters, Cathy Gilbert of Elkton, MD, Connie Cheney of Max Meadows, VA, Dana Manley of Max Meadows, Sherri Carr of Pulaski, Carla and Ronnie Welch of Pulaski, Robyn and Jeff Monahan of Ivanhoe, VA, Rhonda and Tim Bostick of Thomasville, NC, Crystal and Carlton McMichael of Walkerton, VA; her son, James Carlton, Jr. and Linda Pearman of Glen Allen, VA; two sisters, Sue and Charlie Walke of Piney, VA and Linda Davis of Fries, VA; her brother, Ralph and Carrie Sheffey of Roanoke, VA. Fourteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends also survive. The family extends a special thanks to Mt. Valley Hospice for their care and compassion given to Janice, especially Michelle Crawford, Wanda Wiles and Jena Peter.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Olive Branch Cemetery with the Reverend Theron Phillips officiating.  Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is serving the family.
