Jerry Clayborn Six age 74, of the Little Creek Community, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Clayborn and Geraldine Collins Six.

While Jerry left us far too soon, the impact he had on our lives will be felt for years to come. His mission was to ensure you had a smile on your face from one of his inappropriate jokes or that you were gauging on one of his farts. Jerry had some close calls the last few decades but survived them all (up till now anyway) ,he had so many stories we couldn't tell if he was lying or if he was a cat with 9 lives but he did have the scares to prove it. He liked you or he didn't, it was black or white.  As his children, we are still trying to figure out which one it was for us (we know he loved us). It was the school of hard knocks for us kids. Yes, we were told many times how he had to walk for miles in a blizzard to get to school, so suck it up. We also loved how he got fancy things when we left, why buy a wood splitter when you got two kids to do it, when child labor was legal or so we were told. He was a master cook in the kitchen. He believed his cooking was the best, but he would always let mom do the cooking. Jerry had a big heart it may have been black sometimes, but every so often, you could tug on it and make him take you on a fishing trip. He loved his family and cared for them through good times and bad;  We know he did his best. Jerry will be sorely missed he is survived by his wife, Debbie, and children, Trista, Adam, Jason, and Crystal.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Barnett Funeral Home. Per Jerry's wishes there will not be a service.
