Jessica Lea Thompson, age 41, went to heaven on Friday, September 22, 2023 at her home in Girard, Ohio. She was formerly of Wytheville. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis MacArthur Thompson (Mack) and grandparents William and Katherine Thompson, her great-grandmother, Hazel Thompson, all of Wytheville.

She loved and cherished her three daughters more than anything else in the world. She was a loyal friend, always there in the times of need. You didn't have to ask her for help, she would show up and begin doing whatever needed to be done. She was especially fond of her Cocker Spaniel, Kingston, whom she took everywhere including letting him ride in her lap on car rides. She was a superb cakemaker and decorator. She was best known for her themed cakes.

She is survived by her three daughters, Alyssa Zakhi Mallette, Mea Marie Mallette and Annica Leigh Mallette, all of Wytheville, her sister, Tiffany Ann Clarkson of Ohio; her nieces, Charleigh Clarkson and Kinzleigh Clarkson of Ohio; nephew, Gavin Riggs of Ohio; aunt and uncle, Sheila Dalton  and Steven Brillante of Wytheville.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Barnett Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time.
