John Larry Vaughn, age 75, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023. He was born December 27, 1947 in Elizabethton, TN and was preceded in death by his father, John L. Vaughn. John was a United States Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Linda Vaughn; two daughters, Jeri Buchanan (Tim) of Max Meadows and Tina Barnhart (Eric) of Wytheville, VA; his mother, Rose Vaughn of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters, Nancy White of Myrtle Beach and Donna Vaughn of Johnson City, TN; his brother, Richard Vaughn of Elizabethton, TN; three grandchildren, T.J. Buchanan, Ashley Buchanan and Katie Buchanan; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, May 22, 2023 at Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Tom Maurer officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 noon prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in the Piney community.
