Johnie Woodson Manuel, age 72, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022. He was born in Pulaski, Virginia, son of the late Dorsey Woodson and Nina Coleman Manuel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Lynn Manuel. Johnie was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He was also a Commander of Royal Rangers with the Pentecostal Holiness Church Conference.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth Joann B. Manuel; son, Thomas "Tommy" Woodson Manuel and wife, Amber Manuel; daughter, Jessica Lynn M. Felts and husband, David K. Felts; grandchildren, Kendra Manuel, David J. Felts, Teghan L. Felts and Colt J. Felts; three sisters and  brothers-in-law, Margaret and Ronnie Gibson, Wanda and Michael Blair, Edith and Jerry Shumate. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend John Jenkins and Reverend Stacy Cope officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until service time at the funeral home.

The burial will be private at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
