Johnny Franklin Martin, age 75, of Austinville, VA passed away on August 23,2022 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Ivanhoe on March 14, 1947. Johnny loved wood working and was a jack of all trades. He was the community handyman who was there any time anyone needed a helping hand. He was a very patient man and would never say no when someone asked him to build something or someone needed a vehicle worked on no matter how busy he was. His world revolved around his family and his grandchildren who adored him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Warren G. and Claudine Martin. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Joyce Martin of Austinville. Two sons Tim and Lisa Martin of Wytheville, and Jeff and April Martin of Max Meadows. Grandchildren-T.J. Martin, Brandan Martin, and Brynlee Martin. Survivors also included brothers Tom and Connie Martin of Wytheville, Terry Martin of Wytheville, and Mike Martin of Ivanhoe. He is also survived by several beloved family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday August 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Austinville Pentecostal Holiness Church with the funeral to follow at 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be on Sunday August 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Family will accept visitors at the home anytime.
