Johnny McKinney, 34 of Max Meadows VA, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022. Born December 7, 1987, in Ft Lauderdale Fl, he was the son of Sheila "Crider" McKinney and the late John Randall McKinney.

He loved to skateboard, and he liked to make things. He enjoyed going on adventures through the mountains. He loved people and never met a stranger and was very helpful to his mother and family. He was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents.

Survivors include his mother Sheila McKinney of Max Meadows, stepsisters Amy McKinney, Randi McKinney both of KY, sister Carrie McKinney of Tifton GA, Stepbrother John Randall McKinney Jr of KY, uncles: Charles Crider, Billy Wayne Crider, Hank Warren Crider, aunts: Darla Whittaker, Ginger Crider, Christina Ferry and husband Thomas all of Wythe County, Candi McKinney of KY, and several cousins.

Memorial services will be held Friday, September 30, 2022, at 12 noon at Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville VA. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service..
