Jos é Luis Malav é , age 18, of Wytheville, VA, the Piney Community, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017. He was born July 10, 1999 in Hampton, VA. He was a 2017 graduate of Fort Chiswell High School where he played soccer. He attended Austinville Pentecostal Holiness Church.  He is survived by his mother and step-father, Amy and E.J. Dalton of Wytheville, VA; father and step-mother, Jos é and Jasmin Malav é of Highland Falls, NY; brothers, Isaac Daniel Malav é of Wytheville, VA and Leo Michael Malav é of Highland Falls, NY; sister, Sofia Simoes of Highland Falls, NY; maternal grandparents, Larry and Susan Scott of Austinville, VA; paternal grandparents, Chris and Gloria Colon-Buzatu of Tampa, FL, Jos é and Ruth Malav é of Hamond, IN; great grandparents, Fernando and Esperanza Colon of Tampa, FL; step grandparents, Dorothy and Bill Dickerson of Willis, VA; aunts and uncles, Allen and Pamela Crummett of Max Meadows, VA, Julie Brown of Austinville, VA, Alejandro Malav é of San Antonio, TX, Eric and Crystal Standifer of Columbia, SC; cousins, Joshua Cain, Karlee Brown, Emilee Crummett, Autumn Crummett, Alexander Malav é and Elijah Malav é.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Fort Chiswell Church of God with the Reverend John Jenkins and Reverend Kenneth Quesenberry officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
